LMS (Leuven, Belgium) released LMS Imagine.Lab AMESim Rev 8A. The company indicates that the new version of its 1D multi-domain simulation platform offers ergonomic features for better productivity, new interfacing capabilities for enhanced interoperability, and developments in various dedicated application solutions.

LMS Imagine.Lab AMESim offers a complete 1D simulation suite to model and analyze multi-domain, intelligent systems and to predict their multi-disciplinary performance. The components of the model are described by analytical models representing the hydraulic, pneumatic, electric or mechanical behavior of the system. To create the system simulation model in LMS Imagine.Lab AMESim, the user can make use of a large set of packaged solutions including specific sets of tools and application libraries of pre-defined components from different physical domains. The software creates a physics based model of the system, which doesn’t require a full 3D geometry representation. This approach gives LMS Imagine.Lab AMESim the capability to simulate the behavior of intelligent systems long before detailed CAD geometry becomes available.

LMS Imagine.Lab AMESim Rev 8A features new scripting and plug-ins for easy application-specific pre-processing and post-processing. From within LMS Imagine.Lab AMESim, users can simulate system models and three-dimensional designs using both LMS Virtual.Lab Motion and LMS Imagine.Lab AMESim solvers.

The latest release of the LMS Imagine.Lab AMESim platform also includes a new LabVIEW Real-Time interface giving the end user the possibility to export AMESim models on LabVIEW real-time benches. Plus, updates have been made in the solution and libraries portfolio to enhance the modeling capabilities and accelerate calculation speeds.
