Genius Inside (New York), creators of Project4Domino, a portfolio and project management (PPM) suite, announced the creation and launch of Genius Project, an on-demand, collaborative PPM solution that helps companies streamline their production process across any and all geographic boundaries.
It is an on-demand solution said to be useful for organizations with external suppliers and/or partners, as it allows constant access to all aspects of project status and data to all parties involved.
Compared to other PPM solutions, it offers advantages including Matrix Planning, which allows project and department managers to ensure optimal distribution of work assignments with respect to the hierarchical organization. The project also offers the ability to integrate bidirectionally with Microsoft Project — allowing for both the import and export of data in combination with MS Project.
Genius Project allows users to use the virtual workplace to manage projects and processes and collaborate with colleagues and partners internally and externally. Because it is sold on a subscription basis, companies of all sizes can quickly and easily incorporate the solution’s project planning methodologies into their organizations without large upfront investments and costly setup, training, or customization processes.
Other features include Genius Planner, Multi-Currency Support, Document Management: Budget Management, Workflow Engine, and a Standard PM Methods Genius Chart. A Genius Project Express version is also available for the needs and budgets of smaller organizations.
