New Polypropylene Sintering Material Demonstrated at DMS Expo in Japan

3D Systems will unveil exciting polypropylene sintering material on its Sinterstation Pro SLS System.

3D Systems Corporation (Rock Hill, SC) announced that it will unveil its new polypropylene-based material running on its Sinterstation Pro SLS System at the Design Engineering & Manufacturing Solutions Expo (DMS) from June 25-27, 2008, in Tokyo, Japan.

The new material, Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) Plastic, DuraForm XR300, is jointly developed between 3D Systems and TRIAL Corporation of Kanagawa, Japan. Characteristics of this are its translucency, white color, flexibility, and with good chemical resistance and elevated impact strength. Designed applications such as automotive interiors, it is best for applications that require parts that are soft and flexible, yet durable. At DMS Expo attendees will have the chance to preview DuraForm XR300 Material which is not yet commercially available. For more information visit 3D Systems.
